Singapore January 27 2014 – Ultrabot, the learning management system designed and developed by Knowledge Platform, has been awarded a Gold Medal and a Silver Medal in the Brandon Hall Excellence Awards Program for the learning and development industry. Often referred to as the ‘Oscars of E-Learning’, Brandon Hall manages the most prestigious award programs in the industry.
Brandon Hall’s panels of experts review products that serve learning and development using five criteria: product innovation; unique differentiators; product demonstration; value proposition; and measurable results.
Brandon Hall awarded Knowledge Platform’s Ultrabot a Gold Medal in the category “Best Advance in Unique Learning Technology” and a Silver Medal in the category “Best Advance in Social Learning Technology.” Knowledge Platform is one of the few companies in the world to have won Brandon Hall awards for both content and technologies, and one of the few Asia-based companies to have won double awards in a single season.

Wong Tsuey Mei, the company’s head of design and user experience, noted: “In creating a system that enables formal and informal learning, individual and group learning, and occasional and adaptive learning, we searched for inspiration far and wide: from the study habits of teenagers, to how itunes enables the organization of music, to the ebb and flow of collaborative behavior among work teams. We are delighted that Brandon Hall has recognized our continuing effort to enable intuitive online learning experiences for both the educational and corporate sector.”
Talhah Khan, the company’s CTO, added: “I think we have managed to uniquely combine adaptive assessment, which is prescriptive by nature, with a variety of learning strategies, which implies freedom of choice. The present version of Ultrabot, our ninth, represents years of experience in trying to find the right balance between content curation and learner choice.”
