Knowledge Platform Delivers Six Sigma Process Management and Green Belt E-Learning Program for DBS Bank.

Knowledge Platform has completed the installation and testing of a Six Sigma Process Management System for DBS Bank, one of the largest financial services groups in Asia. The system enables the Quality team within the bank to manage and track the various Six Sigma process design initiatives underway throughout the organization.

Working through Net Future Value, Knowledge Platform also completed the development and deployment of a comprehensive online Green Belt training program for the bank.  Net Future Value is a joint venture between Knowledge Platform and an entity controlled by Ravi Pochiraju, the leading Asia-Pacific based Six Sigma quality consultant for the banking sector.  The Green Belt program builds on the success on the earlier “Yellow Belt” program developed by Knowledge Platform and Ravi Pochiraju for the Processes and Systems Group within DBS Bank.

The Six Sigma Process Management System and online Green Belt training program are uniquely combined using an innovative “learning-while-doing” approach developed by Knowledge Platform.  According to Puja Anand, Chief Content Officer (Singapore) of Knowledge Platform, “Under this approach, the learning modules are linked with the appropriate stages in the Six Sigma process.  For example, a Six Sigma team member who needs to develop a Pareto Chart in the Design phase of an actual project can learn how to develop and apply such a chart immediately prior to actually commencing his or her work.  By closely linking the learning intervention with the activity of actually completing a task in the context of a live project, we have succeeded in making e-learning much more effective and in substantially enhancing learner retention.”

The successful project further extends Knowledge Platform’s relationship with DBS Bank, which has been ongoing since April 2002.
